The annual EED Trip is a shared hub to exchange best-practices and induce new ideas that promote the engineering science and profession in Egypt. EED Trip offers the chance to interact with a large number of engineers and engineering students from all across Egypt.

IEEE Day 2015

About

It was the 131st year since engineers and IEEE members worldwide gathered for the first time ever to share their technical ideas. A series of activities was held on that day as: a football tournament, a table tennis tournament, PlayStation tournaments, an exquisite journey of exploration inside the Planetarium, and more.

Robotics Week ‘15

About

This event aimed to teach the attendees how to make a fully-functional robot in just 10 hours! At the end of it, they were supposed to get to implement what they’ve been taught. Moreover, the attendees got the chance to participate in the Branch’s Robotics Competition which had been announced later.

Simulacra Robotics Competition ’15

About

Simulacra Robotics Competition was organized to give the students the chance to implement all they have learnt about robots on their own. The competition consists of series of line-tracking challenges for the robots to overcome.

The competition was divided into 2 phases:

1st phase was on the 2nd of December, 2015.

2nd phase was on the 9th of December, 2015 – the 10th of December, 2015.

Vodafone Training 2016

About

The training consisted of 6 sessions presented by experts from Vodafone to cover a wide variety of topics concerning the telecommunication field such as Networks, Mobile, GSM, LT…Etc. The training was a great opportunity for future engineers looking to tackle the telecommunication world after graduation.

Volunteers’ Recruitment 2016

About

It was the starting of IEEE AAST Alex SB Volunteers’ recruitment process for the year 2016. It aimed to increase the resources of the branch, to give the students the chance to involve in different activities, and to become a part of the team.

It was a session about web application security, and how to hack and protect the web apps. This session was organized to teach the attendees about the most common ways through which hackers exploit security holes, to secure their code.

The session aimed to give the attendees the opportunity to know about the various career paths related to the Offshore Oil and Gas industry.

How to Make a Line Tracking Robot

About

It is a workshop about line tracker robots. Line tracker is an autonomous robot which follows either black lines or white lines. Robot must be able to detect particular line and keeps following it. By the end of the workshop, the participants were able to make one.

  • Write the Arduino code.
